Effective stories help us to connect and engage with our audience - of 1 or 100. Stories compel action. Stories sell ideas. Stories make ideas “stick”. In this session you will learn core elements of effective stories, why stories work, and how to use your voice to tell yours - for your service, your product, or your brand.

✔️ Bring Your Own Water Bottle – There’s access to a kitchen and a water fountain to keep you hydrated.
✔️ Lunch & Snacks – After you register, Janic will follow-up with lunch options from Urban Jars St. Thomas and there will be fruit and some other goodies.
✔️ Creativity Encouraged (But No Pressure!) – Throughout the day, there will be opportunities to doodle, colour, and jot down ideas—if that’s your thing. Think of it as a creative way to reflect and capture your takeaways, not an art project.
✔️ Dress Comfortably – Wear whatever makes you feel good and ready to engage—no dress code here!
✔️ Notebook & Pen? Up to You! – You’ll get plenty of takeaways, so if you love jotting things down, bring your fav notebook - I’ll provide pens.

Janic holds an MA in Leadership and has a 20+ year career working in the non-profit sector. Now, as the founder of Ripple Effect Leadership, she helps solopreneurs, small business owners, and organizations build confidence, clarity, and better systems—without the overwhelm.
She works with teams to bring their core values to life through workshops and retreats and helps organizations create a shared vision through strategic planning. Blending strategy with creativity (and a little fun), Janic makes leadership practical, engaging, and impactful.
Kerry King
Registered Speech-Language Pathologist
Owner of Connect Speech Therapy
Kerry is a licensed speech therapist and a communication coach. As owner of Connect Speech, she helps teens and adults in London, Ontario and abroad.
Combining her 15 years of clinical experience with her performance and talent experience on stages, she helps people become clearer, calmer, more confident communicators.

What if I need to cancel my registration?
If you need to cancel, refunds are available until 4:00 PM EST on Sunday, April 20th, 2025 to accommodate the catering order. After this time, tickets are non-refundable, but you’re welcome to transfer your spot to someone else. Just let Janic know!
Who is the event for?
This day is for women who want to grow in leadership, whether in business, career, or life. You don’t need a fancy title—just a desire to show up, connect, and take action.
Do I need to bring anything?
Not much! Just bring:
- A notebook (optional) – You’ll get plenty of takeaways, and I’ll provide pens
- An open mind & good vibes – That’s the real magic!
Will there be parking?
Yes! Free parking is available on-site. No need to stress about finding a spot.
I’m introverted—will I be forced to talk a lot?
Nope! This day is designed to be comfortable and engaging for all personalities. You’ll have opportunities to connect, but there’s no pressure to “perform” or be in the spotlight. We’ll encourage popcorn sharing, meaning you can jump in when you feel ready—or simply listen and take it all in. Just come as you are!
